Discounts and Gift Cards Features

This guide explains how to use the Discounts and Gift Cards features to manage your business promotions and gift card sales.

Discounts (also called "Offers" or "Flash Sales") allow you to create promotional pricing that can be applied to specific services. You can offer percentage discounts on selected services to attract customers and increase bookings.

Key Concepts

  • Discount Percentage: How much to reduce the price (e.g., 20% off)

  • Applicable Services: Which services this discount applies to

  • Active/Inactive Status: Control when discounts are available to customers

Gift cards allow you to sell prepaid value to customers. Customers purchase gift cards at a set price and receive credit that can be used toward any service at your business.

Key Concepts

  • Gift Card Option: A template for gift cards (e.g., "AED 100 Gift Card") that can be sold multiple times

  • Sold Gift Card: An individual gift card sold to a customer with a unique code

  • Balance: Remaining value on the gift card

  • Promotional Pricing: Selling gift cards at a discount (e.g., pay AED 90, get AED 100 value)

How to Create a Discount

  1. Navigate to Discounts from the main menu

  2. Click the + New Flash Sale button (or "+ Create Discount" button on empty state)

  3. Fill in the required information:

Discount Information

Field | Description | Required

Flash Sale Name | A descriptive name for your discount (e.g., "Summer Promotion", "First Visit Discount") | Yes

Select Services | Choose which services this discount applies to. You can select multiple services | Yes

Discount Percentage | Enter the percentage discount (e.g., 20 for 20% off) | Yes

  1. Click Save to create the discount

Example

Name: Summer Special Services: Haircut, Hair Color, Hair Treatment Discount: 20%

This gives customers 20% off all selected services during checkout.

Viewing Your Discounts

Your discounts are organized into two sections:

Active Discounts

  • Currently available to customers

  • Showed with a green "Activated" badge

  • Applied automatically during checkout when eligible services are selected

Inactive Discounts

  • Not currently available to customers

  • Showed with a grey "Deactivated" badge

  • Can be reactivated at any time

Managing Discounts

View Discount Details

Tap on any discount to see:

  • Name: The discount name

  • Status: Active or Inactive

  • Discount Percentage: The percentage off

  • Applicable Services: List of services this discount applies to

  • Service Pricing: Shows original price vs. discounted price for each service

Edit a Discount

  1. Open the discount you want to edit

  2. Click the Edit button

  3. Modify the name, services, or discount percentage

  4. Click Save

Activate or Deactivate a Discount

  1. Open the discount you want to activate/deactivate

  2. Click the Deactivate button (for active discounts) or Reactivate button (for inactive discounts)

  3. The discount status will change

Note: You cannot activate a discount if any of its services are already included in another active discount. This prevents conflicts at checkout.

Delete a Discount

Currently, discounts can only be deactivated. To completely remove a discount:

  1. Deactivate the discount

  2. Contact support if permanent deletion is needed

Viewing Gift Cards

Your gift card options are displayed in a list showing:

  • Name: Gift card name

  • Value: The card's face value

  • Status: Active (green) or Inactive (grey)

  • Validity: How long until expiration

Managing Gift Card Options

View Gift Card Details

Tap on any gift card option to see:

  • Gift Card Details: Value, expiration, creation date

  • Overview Statistics: Total sales, total used, remaining active

  • Cards List: All individual gift cards sold from this option

  • Activity Log: Transaction history (sold, used, expired, refunded)

Activity Log Explained

Type | Description

Sold | Gift card purchased by customer

Used | Gift card redeemed for services

Expired | Gift card past its expiration date

Refunded | Gift card value refunded to customer

Activate/Deactivate Gift Card Options

  1. Open the gift card option

  2. Tap the Options menu (three dots)

  3. Select Activate or Deactivate

Note: Deactivating an option prevents new sales, but existing sold gift cards remain valid until they expire or are fully used.


# Selling Gift Cards

When selling a gift card to a customer, you'll use the Sell Gift Card flow (typically accessed from the checkout or booking screen).

Viewing a Sold Gift Card

To view details of a specific sold gift card:

  1. From the gift card option details, tap on a gift card in the Cards list

  2. You'll see comprehensive information about the gift card

Gift Card Header

  • Title: Gift card name

  • Gift Code: Unique code (tap to copy)

  • Status: Active, Inactive, Used, or Expired

Balance Overview

Section | Description

Paid Amount | What the customer paid (if promotional pricing was used)

Credit Value | Total value the customer can use

Original/Total | Full face value

Used | Amount already spent

Left | Remaining balance

Gift Details

View and edit sender/recipient information:

  • Sender name, email, phone

  • Recipient name, email, phone

  • Gift message

Changes must be saved using the Save button.

Transaction History

Shows all activity on the gift card:

  • Sold: Initial purchase

  • Used: Redemptions with amounts

  • Refunded: Refunds (if any)
