Gift card code not working

Possible Causes:

  1. Gift card is expired

  2. Gift card has no remaining balance

  3. Gift card was deactivated

  4. Typo in the code

Solutions:

  1. Check the gift card status in Gift Cards > select option > Cards

  2. Verify the code matches exactly (copy and paste if possible)

  3. Contact support if the issue persists

Customer didn't receive gift card email/WhatsApp

Solutions:

  1. Verify recipient email and phone are correct

  2. Check spam/junk folders

  3. Try resending from the gift card details screen

  4. Ensure the gift card is still active

Gift card expired but customer should have credit

Prevention:

  • Set appropriate validity periods

  • Remind customers about expiration dates

  • Consider "no expiration" for loyal customers

After Expiration:

  • Contact support to discuss extension options

  • May be able to issue a new gift card (business decision)

Can't sell gift card option

Possible Causes:

  1. Gift card option is inactive

  2. No valid gift card options exist

  3. Staff lacks permission to sell gift cards

Solutions:

  1. Activate the gift card option

  2. Create a new gift card option if none exist

  3. Check staff permissions in Settings > Staff

Promotional pricing showing incorrectly

Problem: Bonus/discount percentage seems wrong.

Solution: The percentage is calculated from the difference:

  • Bonus: (Credit Value - Selling Price) / Selling Price × 100

  • Discount: (Credit Value - Selling Price) / Credit Value × 100

Example: AED 90 for AED 100 value

  • Bonus: (100-90)/90 × 100 = 11.1%

  • Discount: (100-90)/100 × 100 = 10%

Can't find a specific gift card

Solutions:

  1. Use the search bar in the Cards section

  2. Use the status filter (All, Active, Partially Used, Expired, Fully Used)

  3. Check if you're looking at the correct gift card option
