Frequently Asked Questions

General

Q: Can I use both phone and email for the same account? A: Currently, you need to choose one method per account. Your account is tied to either your phone number or email, not both.

Q: How long is my sign-in session valid? A: Your session remains valid until you explicitly sign out. The app keeps you logged in for convenience.

Q: Can I sign in on multiple devices? A: Yes, you can sign in on multiple devices using the same phone number or email.

Q: What happens if I change my phone number? A: You'll need to contact support to update your phone number. For security, this isn't a self-service feature yet.

OTP

Q: How long is the OTP valid? A: The OTP is typically valid for a few minutes. We recommend entering it as soon as you receive it.

Q: Can I reuse the same OTP? A: No, each OTP can only be used once. After verification, it expires immediately.

Q: Why is there a 60-second wait before I can resend OTP? A: This prevents spam and abuse. It also gives time for the SMS/email to be delivered.

Q: How many times can I request an OTP? A: There's no hard limit, but we recommend waiting for the timer to expire before requesting a new one.

Account

Q: What if I forget which method I used to sign up? A: Try both! If your phone number is registered, use phone sign-in. If your email is registered, use email sign-in.

Q: Can I delete my account? A: Currently, account deletion is handled through support. Contact WAJ support to request account deletion.

Q: What happens if my business is suspended? A: You'll see an "Account is Disabled" message. Contact support or your business owner to resolve the issue.

Technical

Q: Does the app work offline? A: You can view cached data offline, but sign-in requires an internet connection.

Q: What permissions does the app need? A: The app may request:

  • Location (for automatic country code detection)

  • Notifications (for booking reminders)

  • Storage (for saving images and documents)

Q: Is my data secure? A: Yes! We use industry-standard encryption. Your authentication is handled by Supabase, a secure backend service. OTP codes are never stored permanently.
