Memberships

The Memberships feature allows beauty salons to create and sell subscription-based membership plans to customers. These plans can include free services, session packages, and other benefits that customers can use over a defined validity period.

Flow 1: Create and Sell First Membership

1. Navigate to Memberships 2. Click "New Membership" 3. Enter name: "Monthly Hair Care" 4. Set price: $500 5. Set validity: 1 Month 6. Add free service: Haircut (4 sessions, per month) 7. Click "Save" 8. Navigate to "Sell" → "Membership" 9. Select customer: John Doe 10. Select plan: Monthly Hair Care 11. Confirm start date: Today 12. Complete payment 13. Membership active!

Flow 2: Extend Customer Membership

1. Navigate to Memberships 2. Click on the plan 3. Find customer in "Members" list 4. Click on customer's membership 5. Click "Extend Membership" 6. Select duration: 3 Months 7. Review new expiry date 8. Click "Extend" 9. Membership extended with new coupons

Flow 3: Handle Expired Membership

1. Customer membership expired 2. Navigate to customer's membership 3. See "Expired" status 4. Click "Renew Plan" 5. Select membership plan 6. Confirm details 7. Complete payment 8. New active membership created

  • Membership Plan: A subscription template you create and sell

  • Customer Membership: An instance of a plan purchased by a customer

  • Validity: How long a membership lasts (e.g., 3 months, 1 year)

  • Benefit: What the customer gets (free services, discounts, products)

  • Session: One use of a included service

  • Frequency: How often sessions refresh (per month, per week, total)

  • Coupon: Internal tracking mechanism for session usage

  • Activity Log: Record of all membership-related transactions

  • Status: Current state (active, paused, expired, cancelled)

  • Extension: Adding time to an existing membership

  • Renewal: Purchasing a new membership after one expires
