Example 1: Setting Up a New Staff Payment Plan
Scenario: You hire a new stylist and want to pay them 30% commission per booking.
Steps:
Go to Staff → Payment Plans
Click Create a Plan
Name it "Stylist 30% Commission"
Select Booking Based → Percentage
Enter 30 as the value
Select the branch
Check the new staff member
Set start date to today
Click Create a Plan
Result: The staff member will earn 30% of every booking value.
Example 2: Adding a New Payment Method
Scenario: You want to accept Apple Pay at your salon.
Steps:
Go to Settings → Payment Methods
Click Add Payment Method
Name it "Apple Pay"
Select the Card icon
Click Create Payment Method
Toggle the switch to activate it
Result: Customers can now pay with Apple Pay.
Example 3: Creating Mixed Staff Compensation
Scenario: Senior stylists get fixed salary + commission, junior stylists get hourly wage.
Steps:
Create plan "Senior Stylist Base" (Fixed → Monthly, $2000)
Create plan "Senior Commission" (Booking Based → Percentage, 10%)
Assign both plans to senior stylists
Create plan "Junior Stylist Wage" (Hours Based → Fixed Amount, $15/hour)
Assign to junior stylists
Result: Senior stylists receive base salary + 10% commission, juniors get $15/hour.
Example 4: Handling Invoice with Multiple Payment Methods
Scenario: A customer pays partially with cash and uses a gift card for the rest.
Steps:
Complete the booking
Invoice shows total: $150
Customer pays $50 cash
Customer uses $100 gift card
Invoice updates to show both payments
Payment status changes to Paid
Result: Invoice correctly tracks both payment methods.
