Saudi National Day 2026 (96th): Salon and Spa Offer Ideas

The best Saudi National Day salon offers are simple, respectful and planned two weeks ahead: a green-themed service or two, a family package, and a clear price that still leaves you a margin. Saudi National Day falls on 23 September every year, and 2026 marks the 96th. Below: using national imagery properly, offers that sell, holiday staffing, a September timeline, and the PDPL consent rules for WhatsApp and Instagram.

Schools have gone back, routines are settling, and clients start thinking about the long weekend about ten days out. Salons that announce early fill the good slots. Salons that post on the 22nd get the leftovers.

How to use national colours and imagery respectfully

Green and white are fair game: nail colours, balloons at reception, a green ribbon on a gift card envelope, a green pin for staff.

The flag is different. The Saudi flag carries the Shahada, the declaration of faith, and it needs to be treated with that in mind. A few practical rules most owners already follow:

  • Do not print the flag on anything that gets thrown away, stepped on, sat on or washed: towels, floor mats, tissue boxes, disposable cups, pedicure basins.
  • Do not paint the flag or the Shahada on nails, skin or hair. Plain green and white designs, palm motifs or the number 96 are safer choices.
  • Do not alter the flag, crop the Shahada, or overlay your logo on it in social posts.
  • Use the official National Day identity and slogan for the year only as the published guidance allows, and check that guidance before you print anything.

Official guidance on national symbols can change, and the authorities take it seriously. When in doubt, leave the flag out and let the colour do the work.

Saudi National Day salon and spa offer ideas

Pick two or three offers, not ten. Reception can explain a short menu, and clients can actually choose from it.

Green-themed nails and beauty services

  • National Day manicure: a green-and-white design with a set price and a fixed time slot. Keep the design list short (three options) so technicians are not improvising for 90 minutes.
  • Green accent nails for girls: quick, cheap to deliver and popular with mothers booking for the family.
  • Holiday blow-dry and makeup bundle: for clients going to family gatherings or events over the long weekend.

Family packages

National Day is a family holiday. Package around that:

  • Mother and daughter: two manicures, or a blow-dry plus a kids' braid.
  • Spa for two: a couples or sisters' massage with tea afterwards, booked back-to-back in one room or two rooms side by side.
  • Barbershop father-and-son: a haircut for both, with a small discount on the second.

If you plan a kids' service, keep it light: mild products, nothing chemical, and a parent present for the whole visit.

96-themed pricing (only if it fits your margin)

Offers priced at 96 SAR, or 96 SAR off a package, are everywhere around this date because they are easy to remember. Use them only if the numbers work. Check first:

  1. Take the normal price of the service.
  2. Subtract product cost, the technician's commission and the time the chair is tied up.
  3. If what is left at 96 SAR is thin or negative, change the offer. Use 96 SAR as a top-up price on an add-on ("add a green gel design for 96 SAR") instead of discounting the main service.

Our guide on how to price salon services walks through the cost side if you need a refresher. A good alternative to discounting is a gift card: "Buy a 500 SAR gift card, get a 96 SAR treatment free" brings cash in now and visits later. We covered how to run those in our Mother's Day and Eid gift card guide.

Staff capacity planning for the National Day holiday

The long weekend creates two problems at once: demand jumps in the days before, and staff want the day off too.

  • Decide who works on 23 September now. Rotate fairly against Eid and confirm in writing.
  • Open more slots on 20 to 22 September, when clients book "before the holiday" services. Extend hours rather than overbooking.
  • Block the calendar for offer services. Give the National Day manicure fixed slots so it does not eat into your full-price colour and treatment bookings.
  • Prep the kit. Green gels, nail art supplies, extra towels and retail stock for gift bundles, checked the week before, not the morning of.
  • Brief reception. One sheet with the offers, prices, durations, what is excluded, and how to word replies.

WhatsApp and Instagram messaging that works

WhatsApp

Short and personal, one message and one reminder at most:

"Happy 96th National Day from all of us. Our green nail designs and mother-and-daughter package are available 15–22 September. Reply here or book online: [link]. Reply STOP to stop offers."

Send from your business number, not a stylist's personal phone, so replies land with reception and the conversation stays with the salon if that stylist leaves.

Instagram

Real photos beat stock graphics: finished nails, a set-up spa room, short reels of the team. Put the price and dates in the caption, not only in the image. For more on content planning, see salon social media marketing in 2026.

If you pay an influencer to promote your offer, note that paid influencer advertising in Saudi Arabia requires a GCAM "Mawthooq" licence. Rules change, so check the current requirements before you agree terms.

Opt-in rules under the PDPL

Saudi Arabia's Personal Data Protection Law has been fully enforceable since 14 September 2024 and is regulated by SDAIA. Three rules matter most here:

  • Opt-in first. Direct marketing messages need the client's consent. A phone number collected for booking reminders is not automatically permission to send promotions.
  • Easy opt-out. Every promotional message should tell people how to stop receiving them, and you must honour it quickly.
  • No health data in marketing. Health data is sensitive under the PDPL and cannot be used for marketing. Do not target clients based on skin conditions, allergies or treatment notes.

Fines can reach SAR 5 million. This is not legal advice, so confirm your consent wording with SDAIA guidance or a lawyer.

Where WAJ fits

In WAJ, you can add National Day services and packages to online booking, sell gift cards, message opted-in clients on WhatsApp, and check in the reports what the offer actually brought in. There is no booking commission, so a busy holiday weekend does not cost you a cut of every appointment.

FAQ

When is Saudi National Day 2026?

23 September 2026. It falls on the same date every year, and 2026 is the 96th National Day.

Can I use the Saudi flag in my salon's National Day promotion?

Be very careful. The flag carries the Shahada, so keep it off disposable items, towels, nails and skin, and never alter it. Follow official guidance, or use green and white instead.

Are 96 SAR offers a good idea?

Only if your margin survives them. Using 96 SAR as an add-on price is often safer than discounting a full service.

Can I message all my clients on WhatsApp about the offer?

Only those who have opted in to marketing. Under Saudi Arabia's PDPL, direct marketing needs consent and an easy way to opt out.

When should I start promoting National Day offers?

Around 10 to 12 days before 23 September, after your offers, stock and staff rota are confirmed.
