The WAJ MCP connector links your WAJ account to AI apps such as Claude and ChatGPT, so you and your team can ask about bookings, clients, staff, sales and stock in plain Arabic or English, and get answers from your live WAJ data. It works with your own WAJ login and your role's permissions, asks before every change, holds bigger changes for approval inside WAJ, and can never move money. A second connector, WAJ Booking, lets customers find your business inside AI assistants and book on your own site. This guide explains what MCP is, what each connector does, which AI apps are supported and how your data stays protected.
MCP stands for Model Context Protocol. It's an open standard that lets AI apps connect securely to business software. Think of it as a universal plug: the software publishes one secure connection, and any supported AI app can use it.
Without MCP, an AI assistant can only talk about salons in general, or about whatever you paste into the chat. With MCP, it can read your actual calendar, your actual sales and your actual client list, but only after you sign in and approve it.

Once connected, you ask in your own words. For example:
The AI app can look up reports, bookings, clients, services, stock, staff and your business setup. With the right access, it can also create and move bookings, update services, add clients and staff, block time and build marketing workflows.
WAJ also comes with six ready-made AI workflows: daily briefing, sales analysis, staff performance, business trends, client retention and stock check. You can run them with one request.

For customer bookings, WAJ Booking is listed in Claude's connector directory and can be added to ChatGPT as a custom connector in developer mode.
MCP is an open standard, so other AI apps that support remote MCP connectors may also work, but the four above are the officially supported ones. The setup guide always has the latest list.
The connector acts as you, never as more than you:
No API key is needed. You sign in with your WAJ account through OAuth, the standard secure sign-in used across modern software.
One more good habit: each AI provider has its own policies for how chats are stored. Review the privacy settings in the AI app your team uses.
More people now ask an AI assistant for recommendations instead of searching. With WAJ Booking switched on, a customer can ask Claude to find a barber nearby for tomorrow evening, see your services, prices and open times, then get a link to your booking site with the time already picked.
Nothing is booked or paid in the chat, the assistant never asks for the customer's name, phone or card, and there's no marketplace or commission in between. The first businesses on WAJ Booking are in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. See real examples on the WAJ Booking page.

It works in Arabic and English: ask in either, and the reply comes back in the language you used.
What is the WAJ MCP connector?
It's a secure connection, based on the Model Context Protocol, that lets AI apps such as Claude and ChatGPT read and, with permission, act on your WAJ account: bookings, clients, staff, services, stock and reports.
Is MCP the same as WAJ's built-in AI assistant?
No. The built-in assistant lives inside WAJ. The MCP connector brings WAJ into the AI app you already use.
Does WAJ work with ChatGPT and Claude?
Yes. WAJ is listed in Claude's connector directory and can be added to ChatGPT as a custom MCP server. It also works with Claude Code and Cursor.
Do I need an API key or a developer?
No. You sign in with your WAJ account. Only Claude Code and Cursor setups are aimed at developers.
Can the AI move money or message my clients without asking?
No. Money movement is not available to AI apps, and anything customers will see waits for approval inside WAJ.
Does it work in Arabic?
Yes. Ask in Arabic or English and the answer comes back in the same language.
